Archive for the “Milestones” CategoryToday at 8:24AM marks the first anniversary of my birth… I am now a 1 year old! ![]() Tonight we headed to the the Woodland Park Zoo for my very first concert to catch the Violent Femmes. Check out a few choice pics: ![]() My pal Campbell Smith hamming it up ![]() Mommy and Me with Daddy lurking Our 4th of July kind of sucked because mom got really, really sick. Better luck next time. =( While doing the Greatgrandparent’s shindig in Santa Rosa, CA this weekend, my front-two teeth on the bottom popped through. Nursing just got a bit more interesting for mom! The Father’s Day festivities actually started yesterday when we headed over to Papa Jack and Grandma Cynthia’s house in Issaquah. Daddy has been obsessed with BBQ for a while now and Saturday was his time to strut his stuff and be the pitboss that he’s dying to be. Brisket and babybacks anyone? Daddy proceeded to tend the BBQ until about 11:00PM that night. Egads. Daddy got a some very nice gifts from both Mommy and Grandma Cynthia and Papa Jack. But it was Papa Jack that got the really sweet gift featuring the mug of yours truly. ![]() Is Papa Jack proud or what?! Teething induced diarrhea - Day Two. Call the Guinness Book people… Daddy has been changing my diaper about 4 times an hour for six hours straight. Ring of Fire.

Volunteering, But Not In A Tennessee Sort Of WayPosted by: Ella in Daily, Milestones, Photos, PoopAlrighty… Where to begin? Let’s not beat around the bush here. I’m teething goddamnit. Therefore I am suffering from an acute bout of diarrhea on top of cranium-numbing pain. Nice, eh? No, not really. When your diaper is filling up with a substance resembling arugula pesto about every two hours, you’ll know what hell I’m living through right now. Let’s just say that it was a long night that stretched into a long morning. My parents are a bit grumpy that their wake up call this Saturday morning was a painful 5:30AM. And I’m going to feel bad for them? Ha! Again, I’m the one with the molten lava ass here!! All diaper discomfort aside, today Mom, Dad, and I went to Benefit Playground on the south-end of Beacon Hill for an event sponsored by Starbucks celebrating a recent wave of grants and upgrades to this cute little park. Joining us were Mom’s teammates: Elizabeth Tan, Christine Clare, Mary Barrett, Tim Casey, Mark Miller, Johanna Pajanen-Dierks and a whole bunch of other Starbuckians. Our job was to look after the kid’s activity table. The activities consisted of planting Cosmos seeds in Starbucks cups and water-coloring butterflies made out of Starbucks coffee filters for the wings and black pipe cleaner for the body/antennae. I kept a watchful eye over the activities from the comfortable climes of a Daddy-supported Baby Bjorn perch. We ran into a bunch of friends: Jessica Gleeson, Carla and Andrea Archambault, Roger Keaton, Gail Eng, Johanna’s family and more. Johanna’s youngest daughter is also named Ella. Here’s a picture of the two Ella’s with my dad… ![]() For more photos from this event, go to my PhotoBlog. Oh yes, yes indeedy. Ma ma has been said. Several times in fact. Guess who is really, really psyched right about now. Mama perhaps? The parentals are freaking out because I’m saying da-da. You know, kind of like Dad-Dad. At least they enjoy the little things. |
