Hola. Today we here at iamellarose.com are rolling the blog out on the Wordpress format and are really excited about the new features. Besides a more comprehensive layout, the blog now has it’s own search engine. This may not be so important for you, but it enables our family to find our memories by keyword. Nice!

An obvious change from the previous look is that there has been a color shift from pink to red. And how about that snazzy masthead inspired by another classic? Don’t worry folks… Pink will be back. But I think red will be with us at least through the holidays.

Have a look around and lemme know what you think. Cheers!

This morning I headed to the dental office of Dr. Jeffrey Marks with Daddy. The whole experience was a bunch of fun: There is a really cool fish tank in the lobby, a bunch of toys, super nice hygienists and the doctor was exceptionally funny. He basically had a look under the hood to count how many teeth I have and to make sure they are coming in OK (which they are). He gave Daddy a fluoride solution for once-a-day brushing and we were on our way. Easy peasey.

This morning all the grandpeeps and some carefully selected friends assembled at our house for an adult-oriented brunch and some kiddie birthday fun. While Papa was busy running the eggs benedict assembly line, most were found out in the beautiful sunshine and relaxing in on our patio. Mommy set up a sensory table of lentils with elephants hidden in them as well as a paint station. Mommy is too good. We eschewed the cake and enjoyed some home-baked pink sprinkle cookies in the shape of what else, elephants!

Head over to my world on Flickr and check out the rest of the pics.

Today Mommy and Daddy met with Silver at ELDC for my first official parent-teacher conference. After salutations they discussed how I’m excelling in every department: language, motor skills, art, and social ability. I’m the only kid in my class that can actually jump!

Silver also told Mommy and Daddy that I’m very nuturing to the other kids when they are crying. There is also a girl that only comes once in a blue moon that played in isolation before I befriended her. Now I make sure she has tons of fun. Silver spilled that I like to dance, dance, dance all day long and that I also like to sit by myself and read books for up to an hour.

It looks like all of the Dora the Explorer I watch and IPA I drink from the Barking Dog are paying off.

Today was my first day at my new school, The Early Learning and Development Center in the Phinney Ridge neighborhood. No hard feelings, but was time to blaze from Cosmopolitan Kids. So far, so good at ELDC!

Our friends and realtor Maureen and Randall Goodlund were also there. As you might imagine, this is a VERY big day for our family! If you’d like to see some more photos, please click here.

My parents and I would like to thank a few of the people along the way that made this experience great: Ellen Beelman, Cynthia and Jack Herzog, Maureen and Randall Goodlund, Joshua Fant, Katrina Hupp, Matt Curry, Michael Bianchi, Jessica Anderson, Julee Pratt, and Marie Ogle.
