So, the big day finally came and I was absolutely beside myself in anticipation - MY FIRST SLEEPOVER!! Before I could head to A.J. and Brenna’s though, I needed to first get through my Saturday Spanish class, have lunch and catch a nap.
Today’s Spanish class marked the first time we’ve deviated from my usual 10:30am time slot to try out the 1:00pm slot, which is kids only… No parents! Mommy dropped me off and I had a great time. Maestro Lorena was so proud of me and informed Mommy upon her return that I was extremely well-behaved, totally engaged, assisted others (including some 5 year olds) and spoke Spanish exclusively for the entire hour. Mommy was pleased.
After lunch and my day sleep, Mommy and I headed out to Issaquah to the home of A.J. and Brenna Anderson. No sooner was I though the door before I had my clothes off and was headed for A.J.’s cache of princess attire. The evening was filled with role play, dress up, ponies, and a yummy dinner. The three of us each had a sleeping bag and bunked out on the floor of their guest room. We gabbed like old sorority sisters until 10:00pm when Daddy Jeffy came in and laid down the law.
Mommy stayed nearby at Nana and Papa’s to ensure she was close in case anything went awry, but all went great. With that in mind, I’m currently accepting sleepover invitations to stay with all of my friends.
